Why is it called Aircraft Cable?

A question, about this popular product, that we are occasionally asked. The term itself is now fairly generic, used to denote a range of wire ropes, which are often either galvanized or stainless steel, and are used for a wide range of different applications.

There is no great glamor about its name though. It is simply the style of wire rope that, for many years, has regularly been used in aircraft flight controls. Stranding wires into cables is a great way of combining flexibility with necessary strength.

Aircraft cable is just one of so many terrific hardware and other products available from Fasteners Inc.
